Born at the Garplay Inland Mission Clinic on February 28, 1965 in Nimba County, Liberia, West Africa, Mr. Karneh Tour started his early education at Kpairplay Elementary Public School in 1972 and graduated in 1977. He embarked on his educational voyage in 1978, enrolling at the Sanniquellie Central High School, where he graduated in 1982.
With his quest for higher education, Mr. Tour attended the Cuttington University College from 1984 to 1985 and later transferred to the University of Liberia. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in 1989 with a major in accounting and a minor in economics. In 2000, he relocated to the United States. Still in pursuit of further education, Mr. Tour enrolled at the Keller Graduate School of Management (DeVry University) in 2006 and graduated with his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. Still not satisfied with his educational ambition, he re-enrolled at the Keller Graduate School of Management (DeVry University) in 2012 and obtained his Masters of Accounting and Financial Management in 2014.
Mr. Tour joined Hunt Consulting PC in 2002 and served as Staff Accountant with roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to, monthly bookkeeping, monthly bank reconciliation, compilation and filing of federal, state, and local taxes, sales tax filings, payroll preparation & payroll tax filings. In 2004, Mr. Tour left Hunt Consulting PC and secured an employment opportunity at Global Accounting and Consulting Services.
While at Global Accounting and Consulting Services, he served as supervisor of the accounting department, providing oversight for the department, and training staff. While supervising the accounting department, he simultaneously performed the role of comptroller, compiled and filed taxes with the federal, state, and local authorities.
In 2010, Global Accounting and Consulting Services was converted to Global Tax Solutions and Accounting Services Inc., and incorporated in the state of Georgia. Upon conversion, Mr. Tour became a Managing Partner, performs various roles and responsibilities, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, compiles and files taxes with the federal, state, and local authorities, payroll preparation, payroll tax return filings, audits, business valuations, and assists with the day-day operations of the company.
Mr. Tour possesses over 15 years of combined expertise in accounting, finance, tax services and is passionate, motivated, and improvement-focused professional. Additionally, he is resourceful, relationship builder, a team-player, very effective at following ups, and results oriented. M. Tour is a devoted Christian, a father of 3 children, including two girls and a boy. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
